Word Squares App Reviews

This is the perfect, simple-concept little game that I always play when I need to kill time. Its doesnt require sound, its pretty quick, and you can go back to a puzzle later if you need to. Theres no gimmick of levels or achievements or anything (which is good in the long run), but the different board sizes offer good variety (I find the 5x5 the hardest since they usually lack the symmetry of the 6x6). The hints (one letter revealed at a time) are good, too, when youre completely baffled. This game has seemed to outlast all the other flashier games Ive gone through. If you even sort of like this type of puzzle, its definitely worth getting.

I play this game every day. It even looks and works just fine on my iPad. Its easy to play and sometimes surprisingly difficult even on the smaller grids. I highly recommend this to any word game enthusiast.

Bad investment no levels to achieve not timed

I like word puzzles - LOVE this app

The game is nice looking, and I like the size options, but there is nothing in place to track your progress through the puzzles. The puzzles are not numbered or named, so there is no way to know what puzzles you have, or havent played, and they arent timed, so theres no ability to even compete against yourself. Id love to see a time option added to this app., or at least some way to track accomplishments. It would make it more engaging.

The game is awesome but you can only fill the squares with the words theyve picked. It wont accept other words that use the same letters.

A great app for fun.

At the challenging levels hints are helpful. To make this game more enjoyable, I suggest that the menu button be added as it can go to menu list while pressing new button can be displayed a new game at the same level. Its a pretty good game to play!

Crashes every time I start a new game and wont let me do anything except 3x3 grid.

This used to be one of my favorite apps and then it stopped working right. I could only do three letter words. I attempted to download the newer version and that was even worse. Didnt even have an option for multiple letter words. Too bad - they ruined an excellent app. Sorry to see it go :(

I keep trying to play more than just 3x3, but when I do, it automatically exits out of the app, and its the same when I try to create a new game

if you’re going to pay advertisers to hijack my Safari browser to force my iPhone to launch the app store to download this crappy app, I’m going to rate all of your app 1 star and will do that to all of your future apps. i am sick of of these tactics. it’s annoying and paying advertisers to force something like this upon me is making me lose faith in the app store.
